NTPC Barauni under its Community Development initiative in association with Maitri Ladies Club concluded the three months training program on “tailoring” for the womenfolk from the nearby villages on Wednesday, 03.05.2023 at Akanksha- Community development center, NTPC Baruani township to promote women empowerment through skill development. A total of 18 women participated in this three-month-long training program.

The training program concluded with an assessment exam, where seven participants, who performed exceedingly well in the exams were given a sewing machine.

Speaking on the occasion, President Maitri Ladies Club, Smt. Niva Panda appreciated the efforts of the participants and encouraged them to continue to polish their work. She also urged the participants to utilize the opportunity towards self-reliance and to support their families.

On this occasion, HOP Barauni, Shri Ramakant Panda, HOHR Shri Saroj Kumar, office bearers of Maitri Ladies Club, and other CSR officials were present on the occasion.
